1. Our Mission

This digital archive aims to provide access to the unique collections related to noh and kyogen theater owned and managed by Hosei University Noh Theatre Research Institute (“We”) to the widest possible audience. You can view the images and bibliographic information of our materials.

2. Conditions Regarding Using the Database

Copyright of all the images and descriptions from the digital archive belongs to us. Use of this database must be limited to non-commercial purposes such as private research, study, teaching, and educational instructions. In the event that research developed using our database is published, you must acknowledge the source of the content. We also kindly ask that you submit one copy of your work. You may link to our website if your websites are for academic purposes.

Usage outside of the purposes described above (for example, book publications, TV broadcasts, and reproduction on other websites) without our authorization is strictly forbidden. If you wish to use our images for commercial purposes, please contact us in advance by filling in and submitting this form (PDF, Word) as an attachment via email. Depending on the purpose or content, you may be asked to pay appropriate fees.

To view this digital archive, use the latest version of major web browsers.

We use Universal Viewer and Mirador image viewers, which are compatible with the International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF).
