The Nogami Memorial Noh Theatre Research Institute of Hosei University
The reading room of the Noh Theatre Research Institute is open to the public. A letter of introduction must be submitted on a first visit. For students, this should take the form of a letter from their supervisor (or a person or body of equivalent status); for non-students, this letter should be from a researcher or a public institution, such as a localS library. Before your visit, please inform us about what books and other source material you plan to use, and when you plan to arrive.
The Institute's reading room is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with the exception of national holidays. It is also closed in principle on the anniversary of the university's founding, during university vacations (mid-July to Mid-September, late December to early January), and the entrance examination period (mid-February to early March). During the summer vacation, however, it is open for approximately two weeks, on dates announced in advance on the Institute's homepage.
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 9:30 to 20:00.
Fridays: 9:30 to 16:30.
Closed for lunch break from 11:30 to 12:30.
